Suddenly, the downtime due to maintenance makes a lot more sense.
Mashable wrote up an article saying that a company called Union Metrics will be a “preferred” third-party analytics provider, whatever that means. Marketers will be able to use this service to track popular content, tags, topics, et cetera. If you’ve been around long enough to remember Tumblarity, it sounds a lot like that.
The service will be invite-only until November.
